About Council waste services
Council currently operates 2 landfills and 6 transfer stations and provides a kerbside bin collection service for households in the collection area.

Lithgow Solid Waste Facility – Site entry conditions
Lithgow City Council ONLY accepts waste from people/businesses residing in the LGA. No waste from outside the area will be accepted. Fines apply.
The Lithgow Solid Waste Facility is Council's primary waste facility. The facility is available for both Lithgow residents and commercial customers.
It is a condition of entry that all persons provide proof of residence when entering:
Please stop on the weighbridge when entering and show your proof of residence to the gatehouse staff. Where suitable proof of residence is not provided, entry will be refused.
All customers are also required to advise gatehouse staff of the type of waste being delivered to allow correct classification.
CCTV security cameras are in place.
